  • The winner of the $100 Pizza Hut gift card at the Art Walk is Trinity Dahlstrand.  You can collect your prize from Ms. Smith in the art room.
  • All artwork needs to be retrieved from Ms. Smith’s room by Tuesday, 5/22/18.  If you are unable to retrieve it, please ask a friend to do so.  Any artwork left in the art room on 5/23/18 will be recycled.
  • Any student wanting to audition for the marching band color guard may attend rehearsals this week through Thursday at the FMMS gym from 7:00 to 7:45 AM, and/or at the FMHS MPR from 3:20 to 4:20 PM.  Please see Mr. Madsen in the band room with any questions.
  • All library books and media equipment are due back by Friday.  Seniors should settle all accounts as soon as possible.

FMHS Activities @FMHSActivities:

  • Good luck to the boys soccer team this evening at Mediapolis.  Games start at 5:00 PM.
  • Best of luck to the girls soccer team tonight against the Chiefs at Keokuk.  Games start at 5:30 PM.

College & Career Visits:

  • Staff Sergeant Gamboa from the Marine Corps will be here tomorrow during lunch.  If you would like to learn more about the Marines, please stop by his table during your lunch.

This Day in History: 1800 – President John Adams moves the federal government from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Washington, DC.

Fact of the Day:  President John Adams became the first president to reside in the White House, establishing residency there in November of 1800.

#StrangeButTrue: Three founding fathers died on July 4th.  Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died on July 4, 1826, the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.  James Monroe died on the date in 1831.
