General Announcements @FMHighSchool:

  • FFA will have a meeting tomorrow evening at 7:00 PM.
  • Students and teachers: please find time in your busy schedules to complete this survey sometime before March 31, 2017.  The input will help our IT department determine the effectiveness of technology in our school.  Thanks!
  • FMHS will be taking Iowa Assessments on Monday and Tuesday.  Testing will begin promptly at 8:15 AM.  A few things to remember:
    • Testing for owa Assessments will resume today and be taken tomorrow, as well.  Regular classes will begin at 10:15 on both days.
      • Schedule for Monday & Tuesday:
        • 8:15-10:10 AM – Iowa Assessments
        • 10:15-10:58 – Period 1
        • 11:02-11:45 – Period 2
        • 11:45-12:10 – A Lunch
        • 11:49-12:30 – B TST
        • 12:14-12:55 – A TST
        • 12:30-12:55 – B Lunch
        • 12:59-1:42 – Period 3
        • 1:46-2:29 – Period 4
        • 2:33-3:16 – Period 5
    • Seniors should not report for classes until 10:10 on today or tomorrow.

Activities @FMHSActivities:

  • If you are a male and interested in participating in track, you may sign up in the main office at Ms. Wiseman’s desk.  There will be a meeting on Monday, 2/13/17 in the MPR at 3:30 PM.  Practice will begin on Tuesday, 2/21/17.

This Day in History:  1937 – John Steinbeck’s novella Of Mice and Men is published.


Fact of the Day:   In 1939, John Steinbeck won the Pulitzer Prize for The Grapes of Wrath, a novel tracing a fictional Oklahoma family as they lose their family farm in the Depression and move to California.
