FMHS Daily Student Announcements For Wednesday, May 4th, 2016. May the 4th be with you!
Prom tickets are available for purchase during lunch this week. Tickets will be $15 for a single and $20 for a couple. Remember that if your guest is from another School there is a form to fill out. You can also pick up a photographer order form at the same location.
Post Prom will be held from 11:00pm-2:30am at the new Middle School. Join us for Food, Prizes, and Laser Tag. There is a signup sheet in the guidance office.
Senior class please check email so you can vote for Prom King/Queen. There is also a sheet on Ms. Kruse desk to vote for Senior Most Awards, as well as, a form to sign up for Senior luncheon. Please remember to vary your votes as there will be one male and one female winner for each of the 29 listings. No one will win more than one category.
Student Government there is a meeting on Thursday, May 5th at 7:00 AM in the band room.
The guidance office now has applications for the 2016 Lee County Fair Queen or Jr. Lee County Fair Queen. Girls between the ages of 11-21 can apply. Stop by the guidance office or visit http://www.leecountyfairiowa.com for more information and an application.
Ladies who are 16! Would you like to meet new people, make new friend and act as an official Old Threshers Reunion Hostess? Then you should compete in the Old Threshers Reunion Miss Sweet 16 pageant. There will be an information meeting on Saturday, June 4th at 2:00PM. For more information call 319-385-8937
The Fort Madison Pool is looking for summer lifeguards and swimming instructors. If you are a certified life guard with CPR, 16 years of age and live within a 10 mile radius of Fort Madison you can apply. Applications can be picked up at the city offices and are due by May 6th.
Students, please check your email for an anonymous survey from Mrs. Kohl. It is not required that you fill it out but it will help a group of students have information about starting a new club at FMHS.
Students who have suffered a loss may want to attend The Climb, a workshop to help youth overcome loss. This workshop is open to youth ages 8-15. It will be held on Saturday, May 21st from 1-4:30 PM at the Great River Hospice House Lower Level Conference Room. If you are interested in attending this workshop then you need to register by calling 319-768-3350.
Students The Daily Democrat is now accepting nominations for the Teacher of the Year Award. Forms are available in the guidance office. Nomination forms must be returned to the guidance office by Friday, May 13th.
