FMHS Students the Elementary School Carnival is this Saturday, April 30th. They are in need of students to help with setup, working carnival and clean up. This is a great way to earn hours for graduation, NHS, Key Club, etc. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help or need more information.
Support our FMHS athletes from the best seats in the house – Try-out for Bloodhound Cheerleading. Try-out practices begin on Monday, May 2nd. See Mrs. Kruse for your try-out packet.
Senior class please check email so you can vote for Prom King/Queen. There is also a sheet on Ms. Kruse desk to vote for Senior Most Awards, as well as, a form to sign up for Senior luncheon. Please remember to vary your votes as there will be one male and one female winner for each of the 29 listings. No one will win more than one category.
Prom tickets will be available soon and at that time you can sign up for the photographer. Tickets will be $15 for a single and $20 for a couple. Remember that if your guest is from another School there is a form to fill out.
Candy bars are here and ready to be sold! Sales go to help support Special Olympic athletes go to state competition in May. Come to room 109 or find a Special Olympic athlete to buy your candy bars.
Students The Daily Democrat is now accepting nominations for the Teacher of the Year Award. Forms are available in the guidance office. Nomination forms must be returned to the guidance office by Friday, May 13th.
Student Sunny Brook is looking for volunteers to help with Bingo and other fun activities they do with the residents and community. If you would like to spend time with folks that have a lot to offer young people then give Amanda a call at 372-8611.
The YMCA is looking for students to umpire youth baseball and softball games this summer. Games will start the first week of May and go through June 23rd. Pay is $15 per game. Contact Alli Thompson at email@example.com or 319-372-2403 ext 2 if you are interested.
Fort Madison Community Hospital is offering a program called FMCH Health Care University this summer for students interested in the medical field. The program is designed to expose students to different career opportunities available and includes 5 educational sessions where students will hear from a variety of personnel at the hospital. Students even get the chance to go through an abbreviated orientation that every new hospital employee completes prior to starting. If interested, please come to the guidance office to pick up the application. Applications are due to the hospital by May 13th.
