Volunteer opportunity for students. The Soroptimist ladies are putting on The Princess Tea Party at the Comfort Inn this Saturday from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM and need help. If you are able to volunteer with setup, tear down, or just be a person that can float wherever needed contact Lauri Wondra at firstname.lastname@example.org or (319) 372-7898.
The Fort Madison Pool is looking for summer lifeguards and swimming instructors. If you are a certified life guard with CPR, 16 years of age and live within a 10 mile radius of Fort Madison you can apply. Applications can be picked up at the city offices and are due by May 6th.
Attention seniors: if you if you want to attend SCC in the fall, you may be interested in attending SCC’s Sneak Peek day! The date is April 20th and there will be many opportunities available to you such as sitting in on a class or speaking with SCC students of faculty. This event includes a free lunch and the chance to win $500 worth of tuition to be used at SCC. Student Government there is a meeting on Thursday, April 7th at 7:00 AM in the band room.
Do you know someone who is making a difference? If so, then enter yourself or a student into the 2016 Robert Mannheimer Youth Advocacy Award! It is awarding a $500 cash prize! The award goes to someone who is between the ages of 14-19, and has shown passion for civil liberties. The deadline is Monday, April 25.
