FMHS Daily Student Announcements For Monday, March 7th, 2016
Students interested in the Medical Field, Fort Madison Community Hospital will once again be offering the FMCH Health Care University. There are 5 education session offered for high school students during 2 different weeks. The first session is offered from June 20-24 or the second session is offered July 25-29. They only allow 10 students per week, so first come first serve. If you are interested you can visit www.fmchosp.com/fmchu or stop by the guidance office for more information and an application.
Seniors several new local scholarships have opened up. Make sure you look over the pages and stop by the guidance office for application. The community does a great job of supporting you with opportunities to collect money for college. Take advantage and fill out the scholarship forms.
This is a reminder for all you young men that are turning 18. As a young man in the United States you must register with the Selective Service System. You can register at http://www.sss.gov. Stop by the guidance office if you need more information.
Boys interested in playing Tennis. There will be a tennis meeting on Wednesday, March 9th at 11:15 a.m. in room 202 with Coach Hogan. Please have your completed physical turned into the office by March 11th.
Student Government will be holding a blind volleyball tournament on Tuesday, March 15th. Entry fee is $30.00 a team, each team will consist of 6 to 8 players, 6 players on the court at a time. The tournament will start play at 6:00 PM. The money raised will be used for the Iowa Student Council state project, Supporting Those Who Serve Us. Get a team together and have fun while supporting a great cause. Stop by the main office and see Mrs. Jones or Mrs. Kruse to sign your team up.
